High quality, tough semi-transparent plastic. The individual access ports are designed to keep the water clean. Each drinker has a molded handle to carry the drinker. The upper and lower pieces come aport with a quick twist and lock in place after filling.
The handle on the inside piece allows you to hold easily while filling.

PM waterer
Easy to handle and carry, assembled or unassembled. Would prefer wider, shorter profile, more stable.

Such an improvement
I had previously used waterers purchased from a local feed store. They were constantly getting dirty and the water was always getting droppings in it because the birds would sit on top. All of that is eliminated with this drinker. A very useful item that is very modestly priced.
