This design has been offered because of the extra security. The ring can be closed fast and easily attached to the birds leg by pinching the sides together. Once the ring is closed, it can not be opened unless you want to open it by using something with a point, such as a pen. No more finding bands on the floor when the pigeon somehow manages to get it off. Bands are sold in pigeon size 7mm and 8mm Go to our breed of pigeons chart to see which breeds size 7 fit. 7 fits Rollers, Tippler and many more breeds.     I think they are great I band all Pigeons. I give my males Blue bands. And my females all get a pretty pink bracelet as we call it. Helps to keep better track of my precious beautiful loving and smart babies thanks for having them available for me. I have had to order the second row of pink bands because my girls out number my boys. I will order more things from you in the future.
