The nest box will accept a 24" x 12" Nest Front. Some folks have their own nest fronts or have a particular need for an empty box. I have used just the box without a front in one of my lofts and am quite satisfied with the results. I place a nest bowl in one corner of the box and have absolutely no problems.

It is very easy to clean the box as there is nothing to heed the use of a scraper. I remove the nest bowl and in a matter of seconds, the box is clean and I put the bowl back in.

The box outside measurements are 16" from the back, 25 1/2" left to right and 12 3/4" high. I stack them 4 high, and when the breeding season is over, it is very easy to remove the boxes, as there is no need to attach them to a wall or to each other. Removing the boxes after breeding season gives me more room in the loft and I can add perches for the cocks or hens after I separate them.
